Here we in December.  A few more days and then you should of decided whether you want to be one of those front runners next fall.  3-5 miles a day, 3 days a week is a great start.  Every 2 weeks add another mile.  Long slow distance doesn’t mean a 10 minute mile.  Every week try to push your time done for each mile.  If you want to run a 5 minute mile you should be doing a 6:30 pace.  If you run a 7:30 LSD for 7-8 miles you should be able to run  a 5k at a 6 minute pace. Remember: 1:30 minute slower than race pace is your goal for 7-8 miles.

THIS IS FOR PEOPLE WHO REALLY WANT TO BECOME GREAT RUNNERS IN THE FALL.  YOU GUYS ARE GOOD AS EVERYBODY ELSE IF YOU WANT TO BE.
